While the national election results were incredibly disappointing, North Carolina was one of the few bright spots. And thanks to your votes and your generosity, we were able to make our largest election investment ever in North Carolina leadership, and it paid off. We spent nearly $3.3 million and achieved real results. With your help:

We elected Josh Stein to be our next governor;
We broke the supermajority in the NC House;
We stood up for our democracy by ensuring the fair election of NC Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs;
And we ensured polluters will continue to be held accountable by electing Attorney General Jeff Jackson.

These are all huge wins for our environment and our democracy. It means the Governor can strike down anti-environmental bills and the legislature cannot override it. It means NC can continue on its path to carbon neutrality no matter the federal politics.

Together, your votes and your generous donations mean every single North Carolinian will have leaders working to see that we have clean air, clean water, healthy communities, and a just transition to clean energy.

There is still plenty of work to do. NCLCV isn’t done fighting for a healthy environment and safe democracy. We need your help.
