As Granite Staters our way of life and economy depend on our natural surroundings. I am committed to ensuring our planet and its resources are protected for future generations.

That’s why I voted for the Inflation Reduction Act to cut emissions, invest in green infrastructure, protect New Hampshire’s environment, and invest in our local economies. And this year I was honored to bring home federal funding to help our communities tackle environmental injustice in underserved and rural communities.

World leaders came together to sign the Paris Climate Agreement to combat the ongoing climate crisis eight years ago today. But when Donald Trump pulled the U.S. out of the agreement, it didn’t just hurt our standing on the global stage: It had real economic consequences. It stalled green energy investment, cut job growth in key industries, and set us back in the fight for a sustainable future.

Now with extreme weather events and rising costs from climate inaction affecting Granite Staters and Americans everywhere, we must renew our commitment to tackling this challenge head-on. Together we can push for policies that protect our environment, strengthen our economy, and build a sustainable future for everyone.
