1. Advocacy for Accessible Air Travel

A Major Challenge Ahead: Air travel is critical for connection and opportunity. But unlike buses and trains, commercial airlines are exempt from the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), leading to a range of barriers for travelers with disabilities.

Why Your Voice Matters: As we engage with airlines and legislators to advance accessible air travel in 2025, we’re relying on your support this year to help amplify our advocacy efforts and press for changes that make air travel safe, efficient, and accessible for everyone.

2. Increasing Support for Veterans

A Growing Need: The needs of veterans and military families are evolving, and Easterseals is dedicated to identifying these needs to provide support – from employment programs to mental health resources.

How to Empower Change: Our advocacy team is actively working to form legislation that impacts veterans' access to necessary services. Programs like our Veteran Staffing Network have already placed over 3,000 veterans and military spouses in jobs in 42 states. Your support this year will help us expand our outreach and provide more resources for veterans so they can receive the support they deserve.

3. Promoting Disability and Racial Equity in Education

Addressing Gaps: Children from underrepresented communities face significant barriers in accessing quality education and health care. Childhood educators need professional development so that we can ensure every child has the resources to thrive.

How to Invest in Our Future: By supporting Easterseals, you’ll help us expand programs like our Project on Education and Community Health Equity (PEACHE) to provide critical services, break down barriers, and promote equity in education to ensure that all children start school ready to succeed.
