As we process the results of this election season, we are proud to celebrate the incredible efforts of OCA chapters nationwide in their Get Out the Vote (GOTV) initiatives. Through their hard work and dedication, thousands in our communities have been empowered to make their voices heard.

Here are some highlights from our chapters' GOTV campaigns: 
OCA - Greater Cleveland
Hosted voter registration drives at the Mid-Autumn Mango Mixer, Mid-Autumn Festival, Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival, and Cleveland Votes' CarniVOTE event. Partnered with the Asian American Coalition of Ohio for candidate forums and organized phone banking with APIAVote and Ohio Voice.
OCA - Detroit
Registered voters at the University of Michigan, Wayne State, and several high schools, partnering with student organizations for campus outreach.

OCA - East Bay
Promoted voter turnout at monthly PickItUp events, highlighting Oakland youth voting rights for local school board elections.

OCA - Fairfield County
Organized voter registration events at G Mart in Milford on September 14 and another GOTV event on October 17.

OCA - Greater Chicago
Participated in National Voter Registration Day activities to engage the community.

OCA - Greater Houston
Conducted a large-scale effort, including canvassing 30,000 doors, making 80,000–100,000 calls, and distributing 300,000 GOTV mailers.

OCA - Greater Philadelphia
Individual members actively volunteered for voter protection efforts across Pennsylvania.

OCA - Greater Phoenix
Held a voter registration booth at the Arizona English Teachers Association conference on September 21 at Arizona State University.

OCA - Greater Sacramento
Hosted a town hall featuring the mayor and a conference with elected officials at Sacramento State University.

OCA -  Greater Seattle
Distributed voter guides and translated fliers in Chinese to 300–400 attendees in the Chinatown/International District and canvassed neighborhoods across the city.

OCA - Greater Tucson
Circulated voter registration forms and Vote by Mail flyers at the Pan Asian Community Alliance (PACA) annual luau fundraiser, which had over 200 attendees.
OCA - Greater Washington D.C.
Organized voter registration tables at Asian grocery stores and libraries throughout Maryland.
OCA - Las Vegas
 Launched a Nevada Voter Resource page to provide ongoing election updates ahead of the General Election.

OCA - New England
Held a Boba for Ballots event in Braintree, MA, where young voters received free boba drinks. The event saw high engagement and turnout.
OCA - New York City
Tabled in Chinatown for National Voter Registration Day and began recruiting canvassers for door-knocking efforts ahead of the elections.
OCA - San Mateo 
Hosted Zoom webinars on voting rights, lawyer-led Q&A sessions, translated voting rights materials, and distributed them at various tabling events.
OCA  - St. Louis
Conducted APIA Voter Training at Saint Louis University on September 28, a community picnic on October 6, and voter awareness activities with the Jewish Community Relations Council on October 13.
OCA - Utah 
Hosted voter registration drives at a local boba shop for National Voter Registration Day and organized GOTV tabling efforts at Khmer, Lao, Thai, and Bhutanese New Year celebrations throughout March, April, and May 2024.
OCA - Wisconsin 
Partnered with the League of Women Voters for all GOTV events.
These efforts exemplify the power of collective action and our steadfast commitment to civic engagement. Together, we’ve made a difference in ensuring our communities are informed, represented, and heard.

A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer, partner organization, and advocate who contributed to these remarkable achievements.
