Friend, with just over a month until Trump takes office, we're urging President Biden to take these five steps now to protect immigrants from Trump’s mass deportation plan before the devastating effects begin:

1. Close detention facilities with human rights violations and release vulnerable individuals from custody.

2. Fortify protections for DACA recipients to maximize the amount of time DACA recipients have protection, work authorization, and access to benefits.

3. Protect immigrant workers who speak out against unfair treatment by processing all pending applications for labor-based deferred action before the end of the Biden-Harris administration.

4. Permit lawyers physical access to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) facilities. Legal access will be critical in ensuring accountability for abuses in the incoming administration.

5. Grant and extend Temporary Protected Status (TPS) protections for all eligible countries experiencing unsafe conditions.
