Sir or Madam,
New reporting from The New York Times shows that at least 24 people employed by UNRWA in 24 different schools in Gaza were members of Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Yet some in Washington still support funding this anti-Israel U.N. organization.

Stop U.S. funding for anti-Israel bodies like UNRWA
Documents showed UNRWA staff with Hamas ties included top administrators at the schools — principals or deputy principals — as well as school counselors and teachers.
Many of the terrorists employed by UNRWA had been issued weapons by Hamas, were active Hamas operatives, and posted Hamas propaganda on social media. Yet UNRWA routinely ignored this evidence, choosing to keep employees with suspected terrorist ties on staff.
James Lindsay, who served as UNRWA’s general counsel until 2007, told the Times, “The U.N. has been unable and or unwilling to eliminate Hamas militants and their supporters, as well as those from other terrorist groups, from their ranks.”

Help hold the U.N. accountable
It’s time the United States does more to stop the disgusting behavior at UNRWA and other international bodies openly hostile to America's ally, Israel.
Earlier this year, Congress passed a bill to cut off U.S. aid for UNRWA through March 2025. We must continue our important work to extend this funding prohibition.
