Stop Handgun Violence started 30 years ago with a massive Mass Pike billboard!

As a key advocate on gun safety bills in Massachusetts since 1998, we've reduced the gun death rate in the state by 40% and recognized as a national model for gun violence prevention by the Biden White House. Moreover, after 2 years of sustained advocacy we again helped pass new state gun safety legislation, an Act Modernizing Firearms Law!
Our Work Goes On
Our new state laws are being challenged by the gun industry. The National Shooting Sports Foundation has already funneled $100,000 to assist the Massachusetts NRA affiliate on lawsuits and a 2026 ballot [[link removed]] question attempts to repeal an Act Modernizing Firearms Law. We plan to continue our vital public awareness and educational efforts to counter the lies, rhetoric and falsehoods by the gun lobby.
Our work must go on, especially in light of a newly elected administration that has touted a strong allegiance to the NRA. Now more than ever, your continued support will keep us in the fight to help our state gun laws strong and save lives from gun violence. Thank you.

Best regards & Happy holidays
