Hi John,

We need to defend our hard-won climate laws in 2025. But defense isn't
enough—we must also push for additional policies to secure a healthy
climate. Future generations are counting on us.

Thanks to our strong relationships with lawmakers on both sides of the
aisle, we're ready to act. This week, we're holding hundreds of lobby
meetings to push a crucial climate policy across the finish line in
2024—one that will move us to clean energy quickly and deliver major
climate benefits. Will you donate in support of this effort and others
like it in 2025?

2025 at a Glance

There WILL be opportunities to pass policies that have real benefits for
the climate in 2025. Based on our conversations on Capitol Hill, we
expect to see:

A Carbon Border Tariff: A carbon border tariff is on the table and could
significantly reduce global carbon pollution.

Policies to Advance Clean Energy Technologies: Republican support for
clean energy is growing, and we're working to ensure policies like the
bipartisan Energy Permitting Reform Act move forward. That's why we're
lobbying on it this week!

Reforestation and Wildfire Mitigation Policies: Healthy forests pull
carbon out of the air, and are an essential part of our natural defenses
against climate change. We anticipate bipartisan support for policies
that will address reforestation, wildfire mitigation, and forest health.

These opportunities will help cut carbon pollution, make clean energy
available and affordable, and pull carbon pollution out of the air. But
they won't be easy to pass. The windows for action will be smaller and
close much faster—requiring that we move fast and decisively to push
policies through.

Why Every Dollar Counts

To succeed in this challenging environment, we must be able to build
strong partnerships and win critical votes quickly—and we can't do that
without funding. With 80% of our budget coming from supporters like you,
we're a true grassroots movement. Every donation helps ensure that we
don't let opportunities slip away. Can we count on your support?
