Dear Friend,
“If we are going to put an end to unchecked corporate power, we must dismantle the racist systems that have allowed that power to function and grow.”
This guiding philosophy drives Corporate Accountability’s Black Collective team, which was formalized as part of our campaigning in 2021. And in the three years since the team’s establishment, we are advancing our work across all levels – from public education, to resource distribution, to directly confronting the legacy of harm against Black people that so many corporations have.
Addressing Wells Fargo’s century-long history of exploiting Black communities at its annual shareholders’ meeting. Funding organizations that are advancing the demand for reparations in the U.S. Producing a documentary on the school-to-prison pipeline that disproportionately impacts Black children and young people – and calling out the corporations profiting from this injustice.
These are just some of the ways that the Black Collective exposes and challenges the systemic racism that lies at the root of corporate power. And you can support our work today by making a gift to Corporate Accountability’s Challenge Corporate Power campaign.
Even more exciting is the opportunity to have your gift DOUBLED by a generous group of donors! That means your $50 becomes $100, or your $100 becomes $200.
