The housing crisis is growing, and too many people are being left behind. Let’s change that.

Home is the foundation for safety, health, and opportunity. Yet millions of Americans are struggling without stable housing. YIMBY Action is committed to creating a future where everyone can live in a safe, affordable home. But we can’t achieve this without your support.

Looking at the 2024 State of Homelessness report, it’s clear the gap is growing wider every year. Nationally, the number of people experiencing homelessness has increased by 12.1% in just the last year. That includes over 250,000 people sleeping on the streets with no shelter. These are our neighbors, our friends, our classmates being left behind.

But we can change this. The report also shows that housing advocacy is working! We added over 36,000 affordable homes dedicated to homeless re-housing. Plus, the number of people moving into permanent housing increased, with fewer people than ever returning to homelessness after receiving aid.

When affordable homes are scarce, families are forced into overcrowded or unsafe living conditions, and those already on the edge of homelessness find themselves pushed further into crisis. The lack of affordable housing isn’t just a housing issue—it's a public health issue, a community issue, and an issue of justice.  We’ve made incredible progress through our advocacy, but we need your help to build on it and make an even bigger impact.

Your contribution today will help us pressure lawmakers, mobilize volunteers, and advocate for policies that close the housing gap. Can we count on you to stand with us in the fight for more affordable housing?
