John,
With the dust settling on election season, we are excited to share that voters have once again strongly expressed their support for ranked choice voting across the nation. Despite challenges in some states, RCV repeal efforts in Bloomington and Alaska were successfully defeated by voters. Meanwhile, voters in Washington, DC and Oak Park, IL embraced RCV by wide margins.
In Portland, Oregon, voters joined a growing list of long-time RCV cities ranking their ballots for the first time and experiencing the benefits of a fairer, more inclusive and representative, and diverse electoral system.
For more insights on the progress of RCV in Minnesota and around the country, read FairVote Minnesota Executive Director Jeanne Massey’s recent op-ed [[link removed]] in the Minnesota Star Tribune .

Gearing up for 2025
Special thanks to everyone who generously contributed on Give to the Max Day. Together, we unlocked our full $10,000 matching gift, ending November strong.
But our work isn’t over. To ensure we are ready for the challenges of 2025—both at the Capitol and in our five RCV cities ( Minneapolis, St. Paul, Bloomington, Minnetonka, and St. Louis Park —we need to raise $50,000 by year-end.
By giving today, you will help us meet our year-end goal and build momentum for another year of advancing RCV.
