Indivisibles,

When we published our new Indivisible Guide, we acknowledged that a lot has changed since Trump’s first term. He’s cemented his hold on the GOP. He has a Supreme Court stacked with MAGA justices on his side. He will be operating with fewer checks than ever before. In short: our job is tougher this time around.

But one thing hasn’t changed: Local organizing is the key to defending our democracy. If we want to bring our country back from the brink, we have to tap into power wherever we can find it -- in every state, at every level of government. No one is better prepared for this fight than Indivisibles. We have groups all across the country, in every kind of community -- and they’re already laying the groundwork to defy Trump’s authoritarian agenda.

New York Indivisibles have been pushing Chuck Schumer to fill every judicial vacancy while Democrats still hold their Senate majority. Indivisibles in states like Massachusetts and California have been urging their governors and state legislatures to proactively protect their rights and create sanctuary policies for out-of-staters (with MA Indivisibles even getting headlines for their work). And Indivisibles in blue districts across the country have been pushing their reps to fight back against MAGA legislation like the nonprofit killer bill.

As for Indivisibles living in red states and districts, they’ve been fighting on the frontlines against the MAGA agenda for years. Whether they’re blocking or delaying harmful legislation, holding their Republican reps accountable, creating inclusive spaces in their communities, participating in mutual aid, or building a bench of progressive candidates, their work and experience are more important than ever.

No matter what part of the country we’re in, we all have a role to play in staving off fascism, and Indivisible groups are ready to do their part. But they need your help to do it. If you believe -- like we do -- that grassroots organizing is key to defending our democracy and rights, then please click here to pitch in and ensure the activists leading the fight for our democracy are ready for 2025.

The donations we receive from emails like these help us provide a huge range of resources, tools, and support to our local groups. That includes:

  • Virtual trainings and calls (like next week’s How to Start and Indivisible Group training)
  • Financial support including grants, reimbursements, and our distributed fundraising program
  • A recruitment pipeline to help groups find and keep new members
  • Tech support and access to tools that help groups host events, keep in contact with their members, and drive action
  • Press resources teaching groups how to get media attention for their events and how to build relationships with local media
  • Security trainings so groups can stay safe in a time when organizing comes with increased risk
  • And, of course, direct support and guidance from some of the best organizers in the country

These are just some examples of the resources we provide local groups, but none of this is possible without the support we get from grassroots donors. So please click here to pitch in to make sure this movement has everything it needs to continue defending our democracy.

Indivisible Project is a locally-led, people-powered movement of thousands of local groups in red, blue, and purple states, and in urban, suburban, and rural areas. Our mission is to power and lift up a grassroots movement of local groups to defeat the Trump agenda, elect progressive leaders, and realize bold progressive policies.

Grassroots donations, not foundations or large gifts, are our single largest source of funding. That means we’re accountable to, and fueled by, Indivisibles on the ground. Chip in $7 to keep fueling our movement.
