Hi John, it’s Eve Schiff, Adam’s wife.
On Monday, Adam was officially sworn into office as a United States Senator.
I am so proud of him — his selflessness, dedication, kindness, and good sense of humor make him exactly the kind of Senator California needs.
Our family got together in Washington, D.C. for the swearing-in ceremony. I’ve been to a few of these ceremonies in the House of Representatives, but this one is extra special.
This moment is the culmination of Adam’s hard work — and your support, too. He would not be in this position without your belief in him and all you did for him during this two-year campaign.
For that, I am incredibly grateful and humbled.
For as long as I have known Adam — and next February we will have been married for 30 years — he has been guided by the belief that the people of this great country deserve the chance to get a good job, provide for themselves and their families, and enjoy a nice quality of life.
Now, from the U.S. Senate, Adam will keep up the fight to bring down costs, increase the availability of affordable housing and childcare, protect our planet, and pass gun safety legislation. He’ll work with any willing partner to deliver for the people of California. And he’s so ready to get started.
Thank you for standing alongside Adam. I promise he’ll make you proud!
— Eve
