Dear John,

Unnatural disasters, fueled by climate change, are becoming stronger and are occurring more frequently than ever. Their impact will be felt for years to come. Extreme weather drives millions of people out of their homes, damages precious ecosystems and causes billions of dollars in damages.

In the wake of these disasters, it’s necessary to reinvest in our communities so they can rebuild stronger and become more resilient to extreme weather. And your voice can help make all the difference.

Before the year ends, Congress has a responsibility to shore up support for communities impacted by climate change. But they need to hear from you first!

Send a message to your members of Congress demanding immediate support for communities ravaged by extreme weather.

Whether it’s flooding, hurricanes, wildfires, droughts, or extreme weather, it costs the United States billions of dollars each year. But we bear those costs to help our neighbors rebuild after devastating losses.

However, if we want to mitigate these impacts now and into the future, we need to rebuild smarter and make investments that will protect our communities for years to come. That means bold investments in climate resilient infrastructure, reducing flood risk with natural solutions and building a cleaner and more reliable power grid to support vulnerable communities across the nation.

By prioritizing these goals, Congress can ensure that our communities are rebuilt stronger and ready to face the next big storm. Help us reduce future disaster impacts by urging your elected officials to invest in resilience and recovery.
