Friend,

The plan. The mission. The fight continues.

Jay Inslee ran for president with a clear message: We need an all-out national mobilization to defeat the climate crisis and create millions of jobs in a just and inclusive clean energy economy.

That message made a huge impact and we emerged from Jay's campaign with two powerful tools: a national network of allies committed to defeating the climate crisis and a concrete, comprehensive policy plan for how to do it.

Now we, the team behind Governor Inslee's climate agenda, are carrying that mission forward with the launch of a new organization, Evergreen Action. And we're getting straight to work.

Take Evergreen Action Now:

At Evergreen Action, we know that defeating the climate crisis is key to building a strong economy with good-paying jobs. As the government passes new stimulus packages to jumpstart our economy amid the coronavirus pandemic, we're mobilizing to demand that clean energy investments must be a part of the solution.

Our fight starts now: The House just passed new stimulus legislation that does not prioritize clean energy investments. But it doesn't have to be this way. We've announced a new Clean Jumpstart Plan that will make a $1.5 trillion investment to grow jobs in the clean energy economy. Congress should embrace this plan as it debates stimulus legislation.

Here's how you can help us make it happen:

Will you join us in demanding congressional Democrats include robust clean energy investment in this economic relief bill?

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken so much from us. But it's also given us time to think critically about the path we're on. As we set out to rebuild America's economy in the wake of this pandemic, we face a choice: Will we return to the old economy fueled by dirty energy that's putting our planet in crisis? Or will we build the economy anew -- this time, with an agenda built on clean energy standards, transformative federal investments, and environment justice?

Our mobilization begins today: Join us by demanding congressional Democrats include robust clean energy investments in economic relief legislation.

Together, we're going to continue the fight for an economy that invests in clean energy at the scale and speed that science demands. And as we jumpstart the economy, we have an incredible opportunity to get it moving in the right direction.

We look forward to introducing you to more of our work in the coming weeks.

Thank you for joining us in this fight,

Sam Ricketts, Maggie Thomas, and Bracken Hendricks
