With Donald Trump headed back to the White House and Republicans in control of Congress, many of us feel worried and anxious about what could happen in the coming years.
What we will face in 2025 will not be the same as what we faced in 2017. Republicans are more organized and focused on advancing their anti-worker, anti-choice, anti-freedom agenda, and Trump’s hold on the GOP is undeniable this time around. They’re promising higher costs for everyone as they put talking heads and billionaires with an agenda in charge of government agencies.
It’s a tough challenge, but they aren’t facing the same resistance either. We are smarter, stronger, more experienced, and more determined than we were in 2017 – and now we’ve got a chance to prove it. We’ll do this by continuing to build our Party from the grassroots up.
Early next year, the Colorado Democratic Party will go through its reorganization process.
Reorganization or ‘Reorg’ is our Party’s process of electing officers to lead our 64 county parties. These officers, including county chairs, vice chairs, treasurers, secretaries, and other additional officers, hold incredible influence over the direction and vision of our party.
Many officers become voices for their neighborhoods and their communities within the Democratic Party. One thing we know for certain – our Party needs to center communities and uplift voices of every background moving forward.
Our Party is not a website, any candidate or building – Parties aren’t made of bricks, they’re made of people. If you are ready to not just see change happen but BE the change, then we want YOU to be part of building our party in 2025. We need your energy, ideas, and vision.
Your first steps: On January 14th and 23rd at 6 PM MT, we will be hosting virtual reorg training sessions, during which you will learn everything you need to know about the process and what to expect.
