Join DSA's National Political Education Committee this Thursday Dec. 12 at 7PM for a live panel on labor organizing in the South, featuring Ben Carroll, Sherman Henry, Ashaki Binta, and ATL DSA members Amanda Rivera and Kelsea Bond to report on campaigns, challenges, and prospects for breakthroughs ahead, including a QnA session at the end of the call.

☕Support Starbucks Workers on Friday!🥖

Starbucks Workers United has racked up some solid wins during the past eight months of bargaining with the company. They’ve reached tentative agreements with Starbucks that will establish a solid foundation of rights in the workplace that go above and beyond existing labor law, provide substantial protections against discrimination, and replace at-will employment with just cause (which means the company must have a just and fair reason when disciplining any barista covered by our future union contracts).

We’ll meet Friday, Dec. 13 at noon outside the Starbucks on 8th and Monroe (931 Monroe Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30308) by Piedmont Park, and talk to not-yet union baristas about the strides they’ve made in bargaining, and canvassing + handing out flyers to customers about how they can help support the union. Email [email protected] with any questions.
