Tina for Oregon

John,

Last week, I released my recommended state budget for the next two years. It’s a direct reflection of my continued and steadfast commitment to making progress on Oregonians’ priorities.

One of my main priorities, since I was first sworn in, is addressing the housing and homelessness crises. That’s why I declared a state of emergency on my first day in office, and it’s why I’ve committed over $2 billion dollars to the issue in my latest budget.

Some people claim we can only deal with either the housing shortage or the lack of shelter space and services for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness.

That’s plain wrong. We need to do both.

My current initiatives are projected to rehouse 3,300 households and prevent another 24,000 from becoming homeless in the first place.

4,800 shelter beds will be supported and maintained.

And 2,800 affordable housing units financed.

These are common sense solutions, but it’s going to take resolve, resources, and patience to see them through.

Now is when I need the support of this team: Will you add your name today to stand by my proposed budget and investments in housing?

ADD YOUR NAME

Thanks for being on the team,

Tina
