Dear Friends,

I wanted to be sure you saw your invite to join the J Street Policy Center
today for a discussion on what we can do now to begin countering the
dangerous agenda a second Trump term has the potential to bring to the
region. As we pound the pavement and press President Biden to act fast,
today’s discussion will offer direction about our best next steps.

[ [link removed] ]Register here for the call at 12pm Eastern / 9am Pacific >>

The can’t-miss briefing features leading policy analyst Dr. Dahlia
Scheindlin and former Biden Administration official Andrew Miller and is
moderated by our very own Director of Policy Dr. Debra Shushan.

Dahlia and Andrew have been clear about the actions President Biden should
take in his final days to restrain not only the Israeli prime minister in
Gaza and the Middle East but also President-elect Trump, who has
emboldened Netanyahu. Hear their specific recommendations for action now
and after Trump takes office. [ [link removed] ]Register here to join us.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Friends,

I’ll be frank. Time is running out for President Biden to change course.

We’re in a fight against the clock to pressure the President to redefine
his legacy around Israel, Gaza and the Middle East more broadly. We’ve
been working tirelessly to advocate for urgent actions Biden can take to
blunt the impact of the incoming administration. I can only hope that a
ceasefire and hostage deal will be reached prior to January 20.

This Wednesday at 12pm Eastern / 9am Pacific, I’ll sit down with policy
expert Dr. Dahlia Scheindlin and Biden Administration alum Andrew Miller
to unpack what our movement can do both before and after Trump’s
inauguration to fight back – and what we can expect from Trump and
Netanyahu in the months and years ahead.

As J Street ramps up the pressure and continues our advocacy, our Policy
Center is also pleased to share [ [link removed] ]our latest report featuring final
recommendations for Biden to undertake and outlining strategy under Trump.

This comprehensive publication follows the Policy Center’s fall symposium
co-sponsored by the Center for American Progress, “Middle East Policy
Under the Next Administration,” where Andrew and Dahlia kicked off the
expert discussion.

In Wednesday’s call, Andrew – former Biden Administration official in
Israeli-Palestinian affairs – will shed light on the President’s handling
of the war in Gaza and what he should do in his waning days in office.
Dahlia, a political analyst and policy expert, will give us the view from
the ground about what Netanyahu is planning when Trump takes power and how
the progressive movement can push back over the next four years.

Hope to see you tomorrow,

Dr. Debra Shushan
Director of Policy, J Street
