Epilepsy is, in many ways, our family business. My mother, my two children, and I all have epilepsy. Thanks to research, my son and I are seizure-free today, but my daughter Mila’s journey has been much harder — a powerful reminder of why we must invest in research. ([link removed])

For years, we struggled to control Mila’s seizures. We felt stuck in an exhausting cycle of trial and error, with no clear solution in sight. Eventually, we discovered that a Low Glycemic Diet, paired with a low-dose of Keppra, could stabilize her blood sugar and reduce her seizures. Mila has gone from weekly seizures to having just a handful over the past few years.
