We wrote to you last year about WA’s orca population which remains at grave risk of extinction. Unfortunately, more than 40 other wildlife species join them on WA’s endangered species list. We need our leaders to act fast to curb the effects of the climate crisis and other factors threatening our animal population — before it’s too late. According to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, almost four dozen mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians are in serious danger of extinction in our state alone. We must act fast to save these endangered species before it’s too late →   In recent years, the climate crisis has put these species — already on the brink of extinction — at an even higher risk of extinction. As temperatures rise and severe weather events increase, natural habitats become hostile.
