Help ACA Work for a Safer World
Dear John,
In this holiday season, thank you for your generosity to the Arms Control Association at an especially crucial time.
As you may have seen in messages from Daryl and Tom, the risks of nuclear conflict are high, the danger of arms racing is growing, and arms control guardrails are in jeopardy. In response, our small but mighty team is intensifying our efforts to reduce the risks of nuclear catastrophe.
It has been heartening to see so many ACA members and supporters give this year, but we still have a big fund-raising challenge ahead to support the work needed to meet this moment.

As you consider your holiday and end of year giving, I want to highlight a few different ways to give [[link removed]] to ACA that may not have occurred to you. These are a few options that can increase the value of your gift to ACA while providing you with tax benefits:
* Transfers of stocks and securities. A gift of long-term appreciated securities, either publicly traded or from a closely held company, may provide you with greater tax advantages than a gift of cash.

* Grants from your Donor Advised Fund . If you have established a fund, instruct the sponsoring organization that you would like to donate to ACA.

* Qualified Charitable Distributions from your IRA (Individual Retirement Account). You are able to make transfers beginning at age 70½ that will reduce your taxable income.

* Matching gifts from your employer. Some companies will double or even triple your contribution, and some also match gifts made by retirees or spouses.

* With a planned gift through your estate plan, you can make a significant future legacy impact with a gift that costs nothing in your lifetime. We invite you to join ACA's Legacy Society [[link removed]] by notifying us in writing that you have taken steps to provide a future planned gift for ACA through your estate plans.

More information about each of these options is on our website:

Until the end of the year, you can double your impact - gifts up to $20,000 will be matched thanks to a generous ACA member.
Thank you again for your partnership and generous support.
