After the FCC repealed net neutrality, the court questioned whether Ajit Pai had done enough to consider how the repeal could threaten public safety. So they forced the FCC to open up this comment period and account for how getting rid of net neutrality put people in danger.

In some ways this comment period couldn’t come at a better time, because this pandemic has made it crystal clear why net neutrality is critical for keeping people safe.

Without net neutrality the FCC doesn’t have the ability to protect us from the abuses of the Internet Service Providers. This means that as we’re facing a major public health crisis, the FCC can only beg the ISPs to voluntarily pledge to keep people connected at a time when we’re depending on the Internet for everything—including tele-health appointments, information about COVID-19, and tools to help us stay home and stay safe.

We need the Internet now more than ever, and because the FCC repealed net neutrality, we can’t truly depend on it.

Take a minute to submit a comment and tell the FCC that it put us all in danger and that it should reinstate net neutrality.

No one should have to worry about whether they can get online right now, if their service will be limited, or if they’ll be able to access certain websites. Not now, and not in the future.

Let’s keep fighting for a free and open Internet for everyone. Submit your comment today.

Together for the Internet,

Caitlin at Fight for the Future

P.S. We’ve already helped thousands of people submit their comments. The deadline is this Wednesday, so please make sure to submit your comment and demand the FCC reinstate net neutrality now!
