As you might have heard, North Carolina’s Supreme Court election is undergoing a second hand-to-eye recount — with Republican candidate Judge Jefferson Griffin poised to challenge over 60,000 of the ballots cast in this critical race.

I have always stood strong in defense of our democratic process in elections at the local, state, and national levels, and this race is no different.

Republicans’ attempts to challenge the results of the Supreme Court race could set a dangerous precedent for the future of election integrity in North Carolina’s statewide elections.

We must put an end to the mindset held by many MAGA Republicans that you can challenge the results of an election if you don’t like them.
