I’m honored to begin another term representing Oregon families. Improving the lives of hardworking families in our district has always been my top priority – and that will never change.

During my first term, I worked hard to deliver results that matter. I’m proud to be one of the few first-term representatives to pass a new law this Congress, and I’m eager to build on that momentum.

With Donald Trump taking office and a razor-thin majority for Republicans in Congress, we’ll have our work cut out for us. I’m clear-eyed about that. But I’m going to work every single day to make progress and defend our freedoms — and I hope I can count on you to stay engaged and be a part of this fight.

In this next term, I’m focused on fighting for a fairer economy for families who feel like they don’t have control over their own futures. That means protecting access to affordable health care, standing up to big corporations and their backers in Congress, and reducing costs for hardworking families.

I’m going to do everything I can to protect abortion rights from extremist attacks. I’m proud of my record, including helping pass one of the most comprehensive reproductive rights laws in Oregon, and this fight is far, far from over.

I’ll also continue working to protect and strengthen Medicare and Social Security so every American can look forward to a healthy and dignified retirement.
