Dear John,
Good News: On December 4, 2024, the U.S. Senate reauthorized the successful Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) through 2031 to continue restoring and protecting the Great Lakes ecosystem. But now the U.S. House must pass this reauthorization before the end of the year.
Your member of Congress needs to hear from you that their constituents care about protecting the Great Lakes.

Since the program's creation in 2010, GLRI has invested ~$4 billion for wetlands restoration, beach protection, clean ups of toxic waste sites, and invasive species management through thousands of projects administered by the U.S. EPA and other federal agency partners.
It's a huge success, but the program's congressional authorization will expire in 2026 . Time is short but we can get this done with your help.

Thank you for all you do to protect the Great Lakes.
