Health Affairs announced today that Editor-in-Chief Alan Weil will leave his role at the end of the year.
 
Health Affairs has changed significantly during Weil’s more than 10-year tenure, including:
  • Launching a new open access journal, Health Affairs Scholar 
  • Turning the widely read Health Affairs Blog into the indexed Health Affairs Forefront 
  • Launching a membership program, Insider
  • Launching and hosting the A Health Podyssey podcast
  • Leading the way on health equity

The flagship journal retained its role as the leading scholarly journal in its field while achieving significant growth in its Impact Factor.
