Dear John,

Have you ever wondered what climate justice looks and feels, even tastes
like on the ground, through community, art, and culture? In CJA’s newest
story snapshot [3], featuring the Micronesia Climate Change Alliance
(MCCA), we explore just that! By embracing generational traditions and
wisdom, incredibly talented local women chefs and artists on the island of
Guam share a hardy piece on how they combat colonialism, militarism,
environmental devastation and the invisibilizing of their CHamoru and
Filipino culture through decolonized, plant-based versions of Indigenous
food. Visit their full cookbook snapshot below; not only practical in these
times but truly delicious!

FOR FURTHER EXPLORATION, TUNE INTO EPISODE 4 OF CJA’S PODCAST SERIES:
_Stories from Home: Living the Just Transition_ [6], as we speak with
Moñeka de Oro of MCCA to learn more about what these plant-based recipes
mean to her community. She also shares the work they are engaged in right
now to forge a Just Transition in Guam.

Across landscapes and languages, Story Snapshots [7] express the often
overlooked but critical climate justice work of everyday people as they
paint future visions on the page, strengthen family roots, take back food
systems and decolonize through art and culture.

Enjoy the journey!
