It’s non-negotiable

Dear John,
It’s really quite simple: Bodily autonomy is a human right.
That means everybody must have the right to make their own decisions about their body and health. Everybody must have the right to access abortion and contraception. And everybody must have the right to live free from sexual and gender-based violence.
Today, for International Human Rights Day, we want to share this inspiring story about Ipas Bolivia’s all-in approach to ending gender-based violence ([link removed]) . It highlights six ways our Bolivia team is driving change—and helping ensure all Bolivians have bodily autonomy.
As you know, our teams around the world are doing vital work to ensure all people have bodily autonomy.
And for young people, who face extra barriers, we’re supporting them to become powerful advocates for their own reproductive rights—that includes helping them stay in school and avoid harmful relationships and unwanted pregnancy. To see how we’re doing this, check out these 7 ways Ipas is fighting child marriage, teenage pregnancy and school dropout ([link removed]) . There you’ll also find links to recent webinars about our work tackling these three interrelated issues (sometimes referred to as the CTS Nexus). We hope you’ll take the time to learn more!
Human Rights Day reminds us why we do this work, every day.
Together, we’re building a world where everyone will be able to determine their own future. Thanks to you, our supporters and partners, for being with us in this fight.
In solidarity,
Your friends at Ipas
