Health care is a right, not a privilege, and everyone should have that right to health care because everybody should have a right to life.
I believe that we have a moral obligation to ensure that all Americans, regardless of race, ethnicity, geography, or income, receive the health care they need to lead healthy and productive lives. We will do everything that we can to make sure that we continue to fight for the freedom to make our own health care choices.
Throughout my career in public service, I’ve fought for low-cost, quality, and accessible health care — advocating for additional support of health care facilities and their staff, expanding rural health care, and making our communities healthier. I will continue to keep up this critical work as a member of Congress.
Congressman Sanford Bishop is serving his sixteenth term in the United States House of Representatives, representing the constituents of the Second Congressional District of Georgia. A consensus builder that works with members on both sides of the aisle, Congressman Bishop is uniquely dedicated to his constituents and has demonstrated himself as a leader inside of Congress.
