Tragically over 90,000 Americans have died from the COVID-19 crisis, while more than 30 million are unemployed, and people are struggling to pay rent and put food on their tables.

But while many are struggling, greedy corporate interests and self-interested politicians are exploiting the crisis for their own gain. Big corporations got a massive bailout at the expense of working families, Republicans in the Senate pushed through $135 billion in tax cuts for their millionaire donors, and now politicians led by McConnell and Trump are pushing to reopen the economy at the expense of thousands of lives.

Mad? So are we. We think it’s not just an outrage, it’s a new low, even for this group.

So today we’re announcing CovidShitBags.org, a new website committed to exposing and calling out the corporations, billionaires, and corrupt politicians exploiting the coronavirus crisis for their own profit and political gain, so we can call them out and hold them accountable now and through November.

Each one is shitty in their own unique and awful way, and we think all the non-shitbag Americans out there deserve to know all the dirty details.

We’re talking pandemic profiteers, PPE pirates, lying politicians, vulture capitalists trying to kill off the old people just to get a bit richer. Basically, anyone who’s looking to turn a quick buck (or raise their own status) off of the COVID-19 crisis. Anyone can be a shitbag, but it takes a whole other level of complete and utter shitbaggery to notch a spot on our list.
