Team,

Yesterday, I signed the Freedom to Read Act into law, which will protect intellectual freedom in our state by preventing arbitrary book banning in our schools and public libraries.

Across the nation, we have seen attempts to suppress and censor the stories and experiences of others. Book bans are dangerous for our society and our futures — and they have no place in New Jersey.

I’m proud to play a role in protecting the rights of students, parents, and communities to have free access to age-appropriate books and learning materials.

If you also believe in the freedom to read and learn from a variety of perspectives, add your name now to stand with me against book bans: [[link removed]]

NO BOOK BANS [[link removed]]

Thanks for being a part of this,

Phil
