Dear Supporter,

In a few short weeks, a new Republican House and Senate majority will take control of Congress and set an economic agenda for America … but it may not reflect seniors’ best interests.

That’s because this agenda will largely be tied to President-elect Donald Trump’s newfound commitment to tackle soaring national debt and permanently extend the 2017 Trump-GOP tax law that mainly benefited the very wealthy and huge corporations.

Yet extending the Trump-GOP tax cuts comes with a whopping $4.6 trillion price tag — which is not exactly budget friendly! So how will GOP lawmakers offset this huge cost?

They want to put a large bull’s eye on Social Security and Medicare because they believe that’s where there are trillions of dollars — your money.

That’s why I urge you to sign the National Committee’s Petition to Congress today to put your representatives on notice that you will not accept any cuts to your earned benefits to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy and large corporations! ( [link removed] )

As if to foreshadow that changes are indeed coming to Social Security, Senator Mike Lee (UT) posted the following on X: “1. Of all the deceptive sales techniques the U.S. government has used on the American people, one of them—the Social Security Act—gets far too little attention. Buckle up because this is a wild ride.”

There can be no doubt, opponents of Social Security and Medicare believe the next Trump administration and new Congress will offer a ripe environment to push forward their radical “reforms” for seniors’ programs.

Your action is needed now ( [link removed] ) because these are your earned benefits on the line.

At a time when so many older Americans are struggling to afford the high cost of housing, utilities, gas and groceries, the last thing they can afford is to have their benefits reduced. And that’s why we must make it clear to our elected officials, many of whom are millionaires, that most seniors rely on their benefits just to make ends meet each month.

As our past victories have shown, Congress will listen when large numbers of people stay informed and get involved. So please, tell your lawmakers to protect — not cut — earned benefits today! ( [link removed] )

Your action today could make a huge difference to you, your family and millions of others.

Sincerely,

Max Richtman
President & CEO
