Citizens' Climate Lobby

Hi John,

We’re in the final stretch! Congress only has a few weeks left to act on the Energy Permitting Reform Act of 2024. This bipartisan legislation is a game-changer for clean energy deployment, and we need your help to get it over the finish line during this lame duck session.

Tell your members of Congress: Pass the Energy Permitting Reform Act into law.

Call Congress
A two panel meme. In the first panel a seagull throws its head back, mouth open. The panel is labeled *inhale*. The second panel, the seagull's head is thrown forward, eyes glowing. The panel text says "IT'S OUR LAST HCANCE TO PASS THE ENERGY PERMITTING REFORM ACT THIS CONGRESS!"

This week, CCLers have almost 300 virtual lobby meetings scheduled to discuss permitting reform. Your calls help amplify our message about how this policy:

✅ Cuts climate pollution: Expert analysis shows this bill could reduce America’s climate pollution by up to 25% by 2050.
✅ Speeds up clean energy projects: The bill streamlines permitting, clears bottlenecks, and accelerates renewable energy deployment.
✅ Boosts energy transmission: It ensures faster development of the electrical lines we need to power our clean energy future.

Use our Click-to-Call tool to quickly contact your Representative and Senators and urge them to support the Energy Permitting Reform Act. This is our last chance to show support for big climate progress this Congress. Let’s lock in this legislation ASAP!

Thank you for all you do to fight for a livable future,

Brett Cease
