Friend,
A few weeks ago, Governor Phil Murphy introduced a phrase that has become the unofficial state motto during the COVID-19 pandemic -- “Don’t be a Knucklehead.” The Governor’s simple advice has become a rallying cry for residents who are smartly following social distancing orders and asking their neighbors to do the same. It has appeared everywhere from social media to highway signs to national press, and even inspired some hyperbolic responses from a couple of politicians who didn’t get the joke.
Now, we want you to get in on the fun while both spreading the word about social distancing and supporting a great cause. The NJDSC is launching a “Don’t be a Knucklehead” t-shirt sale, and all net proceeds will benefit the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund. The first step is for residents to vote on their favorite t-shirt design from the four choices below.
The winner will be announced soon, and then the shirts will go on sale on our website. They will be made in the U.S.A. by union labor, and all net proceeds will go to the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund, a non-profit organization founded by First Lady Tammy Murphy to help residents in need during this crisis.
We’re excited to launch this campaign and hope you are too -- cast your vote for your favorite design today, and make sure to check back to see the winning design on June 1st!
