Dear John,
Our partners in Argentina have had a busy year leading advocacy campaigns in Buenos Aires.
Their goal: Urge Congress to pass reforms that expand free enterprise.
One partner, Fundación Libertad, supported Law 27.742, popularly known as Ley Bases, which became law over the summer.
Ley Bases was a monster reform bill that codified many of Fundación Libertad’s recommendations, including labor reforms, privatizations, and incentives for foreign investment.
Some of the labor reforms included:
- Healthcare Freedom: Allowing workers to choose from union-run and now private medical plans.
- Freedom for Freelancers and Contractors: Ends the longstanding practice of presuming that these individuals are in employment relationships, thus lowering labor costs.
- Legal Relief, Tax Incentives, and Debt Reduction: Offers incentives for employers to formalize their workforce, bringing everyday economic activity out of the shadows.
Fundación Libertad succeeded in part because they received training and grant funding from Atlas Network.
In essence, our coaching helped them 10x their efficiency and impact, leading to passing a key piece of legislation.
Atlas Network is proud to support our Argentinian partners and take part in one of the biggest transformations in their country’s history.
But we couldn’t do it without passionate friends and allies like you.
We need your help again to continue supporting Fundación Libertad and the other members of our 600-partner network in over 100 countries.
Please contribute now to our year-end giving campaign and help our partners continue expanding free enterprise worldwide.
Thank you,
