The numbers are hard to fathom. Over the past year:
14,000 rockets have been fired by Hamas at Israel’s citizens, while the terrorist group callously uses innocent Palestinians, humanitarian safe zones, and U.N. facilities to shield its attacks.
45 Israelis (including 12 children playing soccer) have been killed as Hezbollah launched thousands of near-daily rocket and drone attacks, forcing 80,000+ to abandon their homes.
Iran launched two direct attacks on Israel, firing over 325 ballistic and cruise missiles and 185 suicide drones, as well as ramping up efforts to arm, fund, and train terror proxies across the region.
As Israel’s enemies escalated their aggression this past year, pro-Israel Americans like you worked to ensure Israel had the resources and support needed to keep its citizens safe.
This year, your support helped us worked with Congress to pass a record-setting $14.3 billion aid package, helping Israel acquire lifesaving defense systems and other resources to protect its families from growing threats on multiple fronts.
Congress also passed biting sanctions legislation to increase the economic pressure on Iran, including sanctions on foreign ports and refineries that process Iranian petroleum exports and tightening sanctions on Chinese institutions purchasing petroleum from Iran.
And just last month, an overwhelming majority of Democrats and Republicans in the Senate roundly defeated a series of anti-Israel resolutions brought to the floor by Bernie Sanders to block U.S. arms sales to Israel.
But despite these great strides, Israel's enemies remain determined, and our work to keep Israel safe is far from over.
