GIVE THE GIFT OF HUMAN RIGHTS FOR EVERYONE »
Dear John,

Today is World Human Rights Day. Even as we celebrate the many successes achieved since the founding of this U.N.-designated holiday, millions of people still struggle for equality and basic dignity.

At The Carter Center, we are dedicated to helping these vulnerable people, and our work is only possible through the support of caring partners like you.

So please be generous today. Give whatever you can afford to advance human rights for people in need. You'll invest in proven methods that fuel measurable results.
  • Support a global network of Carter Center Human Rights Defenders who rely on us for training and publicity that can buffer them from violent retaliation in their home countries.
  • Strengthen government protections for human rights in more than 25 countries, including the U.S., where we promote human rights and racial equity through dedicated programs with key populations.
  • Bring equity to people in countries where they disproportionately suffer from extractive industries and climate change.
  • Continue groundbreaking efforts on behalf of women and girls, whose human rights too often are violated as part of cultural “tradition” or religious interpretations.
  • Build democracy throughout the world with election monitoring, peace negotiations, and improved access to information and justice.

Human rights, along with a sense of justice and self-worth, are the “seeds of peace” the world needs so badly. That’s why The Center Carter fights hard to advance these rights, and I’m grateful for your generous support of this vital work.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to a world where everyone's rights are respected and protected. Together, we can make a real difference.
Sincerely,
Paige Alexander

P.S. Your Human Rights Day gift can also bridge gaps in access to health care. As our partner, you’ll help us deliver proven training and tools to resource-limited communities so they can fight disease and improve mental health care. Thank you for empowering people around the world to advance human rights.
