[ [link removed] ]Adam Schiff for Senate
John — I was
just sworn in as a United States Senator.
I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve the great state of
California and the entire country.
Filling the seat held by Senator Dianne Feinstein — who was not only a
mentor and a hero for Californians, but a dear friend to me — is an
enormous responsibility. I have big shoes to fill, and I will work
tirelessly to deliver for Californians, just as she did for more than 30
years.
I take the oath of office incredibly seriously. With this position, I have
the chance to pass vital legislation that will impact generations to come.
And we have no shortage of challenges ahead. Lowering costs of groceries
and childcare. Increasing the amount of affordable housing. Addressing the
climate crisis. Releasing young Americans from the burdens of crippling
student loan debt. Keeping our communities safe from gun violence. The
list goes on.
I promise to work day in and day out to deliver for Californians. In every
community, in every part of the state, whether people voted for me or they
didn’t.
I will work with colleagues — Democrats, Republicans, and Independents —
to secure the changes our country desperately needs and deserves. And I
will always stand up for our democracy and the rule of law, no matter who
threatens them.
I take this responsibility very seriously, and I cannot thank you enough
for your continued support,
John.
I would not be in this position without you. Your commitment to our
movement and cause, your grassroots support, your kind words, and your
volunteer shifts all made a difference in our race.
I’m excited and motivated by the challenges ahead because I know we will
face them together.
Thank you,
John.
— Adam
