Hi, John,

“Spring Break” is over, which means Sunrise School is back—and it’s getting creative.

One of our values as a movement is that we tell our stories and we honor each other’s stories. That’s especially important in times like these, when powerful stories from our communities all over the country can inspire people to action and hold representatives accountable.

To help level up storytelling all across the movement, we’re launching brand new classes that focus on the art of, well… art. Learn how to craft cool hype videos, eye-catching graphics, and compelling narratives to bring your organizing to the next level.

Introducing: Sunrise Creative School—four new classes designed to unlock the visual media master in all of us. Check them out:

  • Public Narrative Crash Course

    • People all over are afraid, isolated, and tired. Your personal story is important and can be a powerful inspiration for others. This course aims to teach you how best to share it.

  • Visual Art as an Organizing Tool

    • If you’re a creative thinker who believes in the power of art to change the world, sign up for this course to learn about Sunrise’s visual strategy and the tools we use to make art with a clear and powerful message that grows the movement.

  • Video Production as an Organizing Tool

    • Millions of people watch videos online every single day. It’s a powerful tool for organizing and spreading a message. Learn about video strategy, messaging, and production—no experience or fancy camera equipment required.

  • Graphic Design Skills, Tools, and Strategies for Organizing

    • An eye-catching graphic can make all the difference in organizing. Learn what goes into impactful, polished graphics and get acquainted with the tools to create them.

Be the leader your area needs by taking these courses to amp up your visual storytelling skills and spread that knowledge to your local hub (or get everyone to sign up and learn together). Click here to learn more and register for these Sunrise Creative School courses.

See you in class,

Rachel, Creative Organizing Manager
