Here are the values that will drive No Labels and the commonsense majority forward.

John,

2025 is almost here, and with it comes a new Congress, a new administration, and a new opportunity for the commonsense middle to reassert itself. Now is the time to clarify what we stand for.

Last week, I wrote a column ([link removed] ) that lays out exactly that. These are the values at the heart of No Labels—principles that the vast middle of the electorate overwhelmingly supports. They are the foundation of what it will take to build a national governing coalition and move the country forward.

Here is the bottom line: “The middle doesn’t want resistance or a rubber stamp. They want results and commonsense leadership.”

That means embracing ideas like these:

- “America is a nation of laws and immigrants, so we need strong borders and a workable immigration system that welcomes hardworking people from abroad.”

- “The middle doesn’t like the ‘E’ in DEI. Instead of equity, we want equality of opportunity for every American.”

- “The middle believes justice must be blind and that it is unAmerican for any leader to use government power or the legal system to censor speech or persecute their political opponents.”

But laying out these values is not enough to change the status quo. Our movement has to continue to grow. To take the first step, this week, over 600 citizens and dozens of our Congressional allies will gather in Washington, D.C., for our National Meeting to chart a path forward together.

The middle knows where we want to go. The question now is whether we can find enough courageous leaders to take us there.
