John, we need to act quickly:

Today, we learned that extreme lawmakers in Congress have tacked on an anti-transgender amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) that would ban gender-affirming care for children of active service members. If the amendment passes, it could significantly interrupt access to gender-affirming care for children in military families, regardless of where they live.

Your members of Congress are deciding now whether or not to support the bill with this heinous amendment. Rush a message to your lawmakers now: No anti-trans attacks in the NDAA!

Supporting our service members and their families shouldn't be a partisan or divisive issue – this amendment is about playing politics with children whose parents are serving our country. When military service members are forced to choose between serving their country and keeping their family safe, it puts our national security at risk.

We know this won't be the last time anti-LGBTQ lawmakers try to sneak in attacks on our community at the last minute – which is why it's so important that we speak out in force today, before it's too late.
