** Colorado Gives Day

Tomorrow is the day we’ve all been waiting for—Colorado Gives Day! It’s a special day to come together as a community and support the life-changing work we do at Second Chance Center (SCC).

I’d like to share with you the inspiring stories of two of our incredible client partners, Randy and Shelia, whose journeys highlight the profound impact of your support.

Meet Randy:
Randy’s story is one of resilience and determination. After a hand injury cost him his job, he faced significant challenges, but he refused to give up. With support from SCC, Randy is now pursuing a degree in X-Ray technology at Red Rocks Community College. In the meantime, he was hired as a part-time Facility Technician at SCC Potomac, where he continues to inspire us with his professionalism, work ethic, and drive.

Meet Shelia:
Shelia’s journey began after she lost everything—her home, her pets, and her vehicle. With no family support, she was determined to rebuild her life. Through our High Intensity Team, Shelia secured stable housing, found employment at Littleton High School, and is now exploring her options to either renew her cosmetology license or become a CNA.

In Shelia’s words:
"These beautiful people at SCCIC have changed my life. With their support, I’ve found housing, work, transportation, and—most importantly—hope. I had to go through something to meet this incredible tribe, and it was not in vain. I love you all so much and am forever grateful."

These stories are just a glimpse of the transformative work SCC does every day—but we can’t do it without you.
