2019-2023 ACS 5-Year Estimates
On Thursday, December 12, the Census Bureau will release new 2019-2023 American Community Survey (ACS) 5-Year Estimates.
The ACS provides a wide range of statistics about the nationās people and housing such as language spoken at home, education, commuting, employment, mortgage status and rent, income, poverty, and health insurance coverage. It is the only source of local estimates for most of the 40-plus topics it covers.
2023 Geographic Mobility
On Tuesday, December 10, the Census Bureau is scheduled to release new geographic mobility and migration estimatesāÆfor the nation and regions in 2023. The release also includes updates to historical tables and graphs. These new statistics come from the 2023 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement.
2022 Nonemployer Statistics
On Thursday, December 12, the Census Bureau is set to release the 2022 Nonemployer Statistics, a data product released annually that provides subnational economic data for businesses that have no paid employees, are subject to federal income tax, and have receipts of $1,000 or more ($1 or more for the Construction sector).
On Wednesday, December 11, from 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET, Census Open Innovation Labs (COIL) will host its annual innovation event ā The Opportunity Project (TOP) 2024 Product Showcase.
As always, weāre excited to share the results of this yearās impactful TOP sprints. This year, the TOP community tackled challenges including empowering community-led well-being measurement, enhancing access to federal science and technology research and development funding, and strengthening the nationās STEM educator workforce.
For the second year, TOP also featured sprints focused specifically on Indigenous Communities, in which teams created solutions to build stronger pathways to grants and opportunities for Native homeownership and housing stability.
