Congressional Badge of Bravery Nominations Opening Soon [ [link removed] ]

The 2024 Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery [ [link removed] ] (CBOB) nomination period is about to open! 

Each year, Congress recognizes law enforcement officers for their exceptional acts of bravery while in the line of duty. Federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement are eligible to be nominated.  

Nominations may be submitted for more than one deserving law enforcement officer from your agency. All nominations must be submitted or approved by the head of the nominee(s) employing agency. 

The U.S. Attorney General cites recommended candidates to receive the Congressional Badge of Bravery, and the awards may be jointly presented to the recipients by their Congressional representatives. 

*The CBOB nomination period opens at 8:00 a.m. (ET) on December 13, 2024, and it will close at 5:00 p.m. (ET) on February 15, 2025.*
