Hey John,
The future is calling, and it’s asking for your voice. 🌟 CommuniTEA applications close 12/15/2024. This is your opportunity to become a leader and rewrite the narrative around HIV. Apply now!
CommuniTEA is an amazing opportunity for Black women and girls (cis and trans) ages 14-24. Apply by December 15th! Black women and girls are often left out of narratives and initiatives when it comes to HIV prevention, destigmatization, and decriminalization. But we are working to change that.
Advocates for Youth is excited to be launching CommuniTEA, a project to engage Black women & girls in ending the HIV & AIDS epidemic. This group of young leaders will work to reframe HIV prevention and care narratives for Black women, reduce stigma and isolation for cis and trans women of color, and connect women to essential support.
We are looking for 10 activists to train and support in 2025. We will train 10 young Black women and girls (trans or cis) about HIV and community engagement, and they will become part of a network of young activists in the reproductive justice movement.
Check out this video & hear from our cohort member Peggy, on what CommuniTEA means to her!
🔍 Not qualified yourself? Or do you know a Black woman or girl ages 14-24 who would be good for this? Forward this email, or text them this link to the application.
Questions? Just hit reply!
We can’t wait to welcome this next amazing group of activists!
In solidarity,
Dr. Daniella Thorne
