Texas Music Museum
Texas Music Office Out and About
The Texas Music Office (TMO) held an informational session at the *Devil’s Backbone Tavern* in *Fischer*, where TMO staff presented key programs to local music venue representatives, musicians, and community leaders. The presentations were conducted by *Community Relations & Outreach Specialist Gini Mascorro* and *Texas Music Incubator Rebate Program Specialist Jaclyn Zapata*. Attendees learned about the Texas Music Incubator Rebate Program, designed to support music venues and festivals, and the Music Friendly Texas Program, which helps communities develop and promote their music economies. It was a great opportunity to engage with the local music scene and share valuable resources to help foster growth and success in the Texas music industry.
Our staff and interns visited the *Texas Music Museum* in *Austin* to connect with the museum’s staff and board members. We had the opportunity to tour the museum and explore its exhibits. The discussion focused on the museum's future plans, highlighting their continued commitment to preserving and sharing Texas' unique musical heritage. The TMO is thrilled to support the museum's efforts in continuing to celebrate the diverse sounds that continue to shape Texas' cultural landscape.
