Trump’s EPA has yet again picked protecting Big Ag’s profits over your health, friend. The EPA just allowed the chemical giant Syngenta to stop monitoring waterways in the U.S. for its toxic pesticide atrazine. Atrazine has been linked to cancer, shorter pregnancy and hormone disruption. It’s so powerful, it can turn male frogs into female frogs with viable eggs! The EU banned atrazine almost 50 years ago, but the U.S. is now making it even easier for atrazine to get into our drinking water. EWG analysis has found atrazine at unsafe levels in the drinking water of 16 million Americans. Syngenta should be responsible for monitoring our water for its toxic pesticide and cleaning it up. But once again Trump’s EPA is putting pesticide industry profits over public health. We need your help to keep up the fight against toxic pesticides. Do you have two minutes to complete our quick survey on toxic pesticides? Your response will help us formulate our plans. |
