As pundits continue to reflect on the results of the 2024 election, many Americans are feeling despair and distrust in strategies they believed would work to protect from another Trump presidency. Americans are, understandably, searching for what to do next and where to turn our energy.

On this Giving Tuesday, we are reaching out to be an outlet for that energy. The truth is, the work we’re doing at Her Bold Move is going to be unbelievably critical over the next four years.

Women’s issues will continue to be attacked by a cabinet composed of some of the most powerful sexual predators of our time (we wish this were hyperbole…). With that very real threat at the forefront, electing WOMEN to public office is the best possible defense against attacks on women – and the best strategy for securing women’s autonomy in America.

We have a vision for this country and a dream of FINALLY seeing ourselves, our daughters, our friends, and our fellow American women represented at the highest level of our government. Here is why our work is so important:

✅ By electing qualified, pro-choice women to state and local offices, we are building necessary guardrails to defend against the potential damage of the incoming administration. Research shows women leaders spend time working on women’s issues. The more women in the rooms where decisions are being made – the more likely we are to see women’s rights protected.

✅ We are not afraid to work in deep red abortion ban states. These are the states where women are truly being left behind and most desperately need women representing them in their government. We’re chipping away at the male, GOP supermajorities in those states.

✅ We are building a bench of qualified, pro-choice women. The more women serving in our government, the more opportunities there will be for a woman to run for president and, FINALLY, win.

✅ Seeing is believing. It is critical that our daughters see themselves reflected in their leaders. We must ensure that there is female representation at every level of the American government.

Thanks to your support, we have grown exponentially since our founding. We are seeing results and success stories year after year. This past election, 44% of our winners were women of color, and 47% of our winners came from abortion-ban states (!!!!!). Almost ALL of our winners shattered glass ceilings with their victories. That ^ is the impact that we are having, and we are asking for your support to keep up the fight.
