Grizzly bear

Hi John,

The Trump administration has failed to protect grizzly bears — and violated the Endangered Species Act by doing so.

So today we're in court to secure the comprehensive recovery plan grizzlies need.

Please give now to the Saving Life on Earth Fund. All gifts through the end of May will be matched.

There are so many areas throughout the West where grizzlies should be thriving: California's Sierra Nevada, the southern Rockies and the Grand Canyon and surrounding areas in Arizona.

Instead of working to return grizzlies to these places, the administration and its anti-wildlife allies are trying to take away protection from grizzlies around Yellowstone, which could open up local trophy hunts.

We were in court two weeks ago protecting Yellowstone's grizzlies from being hunted. Today's action goes a step further in trying to secure a future for these bears.

Many of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's guidelines for recovering grizzlies are decades old. Even the Service acknowledged, before Trump, that it was time to rely on more up-to-date science.

But science, as we've seen, is a dirty word to the Trump administration. Grizzlies can't wait while the administration drags its feet, and that's why we went to court to fight for them.

Grizzlies should be living wild in far more of their historic range.

Fighting the extinction crisis requires bold ideas and action. That's why we're pushing a plan to protect 30% of wild places by 2030 and 50% by 2050.

And it's why we're fighting to get grizzlies back at full strength across the lower 48. We're saving life on Earth, and we need you with us.

Please give today and double your gift to the Saving Life on Earth Fund.

For the wild,
